Warranty and Usage Instructions
General Warranty
All Nauta Timepieces come with a 3-Year Warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers any undesired and unplanned technical or factory defects. We stand by the craftsmanship and durability of our watches, and should any issues arise within this period due to manufacturing faults, we will ensure that your timepiece is repaired or replaced to meet our high standards.
Please note: The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear.
Water Damage
Water Damage is not covered by our warranty and is subject to repair at your own cost. To prevent water damage, please refer to your watch’s user card and adhere to the following guidelines:
- Screw-Down Crown: Watches with a screw-down crown are water-resistant to the rated depth only when the crown is fully screwed down. Always ensure the crown is secure before exposing your watch to water.
- Crown Operation: Do not operate the crown while your watch is underwater or in contact with water. Doing so may compromise the seal and allow water to enter the watch, leading to damage.
Operating Your Nauta Automatic Timepiece
Caring for your Nauta automatic timepiece ensures it remains a reliable companion for years to come. Below are some simple instructions to help you operate and maintain your watch.Winding Your Watch
- Automatic Movement: Your Nauta watch is equipped with an automatic movement, which winds itself through the natural motion of your wrist. To ensure optimal performance, wear your watch regularly.- Manual Winding: If you haven’t worn your watch for a while, it may stop. To restart it, gently unscrew the crown and turn it clockwise about 20-30 times. This will wind the mainspring and power the movement. After winding, screw the crown back down to ensure the watch remains water-resistant.
Setting the Time
- Unscrew the crown and gently pull it out to the first position to set the time. Rotate the crown clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the hour and minute hands.
- Important: Always screw the crown back in after setting the time to maintain water resistance.
Operating Your Nauta Automatic Dive Watch
If you own a Nauta dive watch, it’s designed not just for style but also for underwater adventures. Here’s how to use it effectively:Diving Bezel
- Purpose: The rotating bezel on your dive watch is a critical tool for tracking dive time. Align the zero marker on the bezel with the minute hand before you begin your dive. As time passes, the minute hand will move, allowing you to easily see how long you’ve been underwater.- Operation: To use the bezel, turn it counterclockwise to set the desired starting point. This unidirectional movement ensures that, if the bezel is accidentally moved, it will only shorten the dive time, adding a layer of safety.
Screw-Down Crown
- Before diving or swimming, always ensure the crown is fully screwed down to create a watertight seal.- Nauta dive watches are water-resistant up to 100 meters, provided the crown is properly secured. Avoid operating the crown while underwater to prevent water ingress.
The Importance of Regular Servicing
To ensure that your Nauta Timepiece continues to perform with the same precision and reliability as the day you first wore it, we recommend servicing your watch every 7 years. Over time, the oils that lubricate the movement can degrade, and minor adjustments may be needed to maintain the watch’s accuracy. Regular servicing not only extends the life of your timepiece but also ensures it remains a faithful and accurate companion for years to come.Your Satisfaction Matters
